About the Author
M.E. Shugert was born in Columbus, Ohio. She developed a deep love of books early on in life and spent as much time as she could in her Grandmother's library. Before she was able to write, she used to force her mom to write down all her ideas. Her very first book, which will never see the light of day, was written this way. It was a children's book called The Dark Puppy.

As she grew up, she traveled a lot, something else that became a passion for her. Every place she visited inspired her writing in some way. After she graduated high school, she went on to study Creative Writing at Columbia College Chicago. It was here that she developed the very first ideas for her debut novel The Savior of War, though it wouldn't be completed for a few more years.

After her graduation, she moved back to Ohio to work in Copywriting. She wrote whenever she found time, mostly in cozy bookstores, until the novel was complete. She lives in Ohio with her spoiled bunny, Eddie who has developed a taste for chewing on whatever notebook she's writing in. You can find updates about her books and her life on her social media pages.
